.... TECHNICAL FRUSTRATION SYNDROME(TFS) ....

> What exactly IS TFS?
It is a common disease amongst the technically challenged where one is often compelled to bang ones head against a solid surface be it a wall, desk or other equally stationary object. This is brought on by a lack of understanding when it comes to technology in general. TFS can be terminal secondary to banging one's head too hard on an unmovable surface. Side effects can include; slurred speach, internal bleeding,a lowering of the patient's IQ not to mention a splitting headache.

> Some of the general symptoms of TFS can be subtle.
The patient might make statements like:
1. "Stupid computer"!
2. "What the ____!"
3. "I didn't tell it to do that!"
4. "Why is it REBOOTING??!"
5. "I keep clicking but it won't do nothing!!"
6. "The #@%* thing won't shut down!!"
7. "The cupholder thingy won't open!!"
8. "Where did my mouse go?!"
9. "Why is my screen black?!!!"

> Other symptoms may include:
1. Repeatedly and with furver, hitting buttons, shaking and kicking the computer tower.
2. Walking around in circles having a one-way or even two-way conversation with one's self.

> Finally the customer goes through the FINAL stages of TFS:
1. Denial, "My computer's fine......its just acting cranky today!"
2. Anger, "$@#$^ COMPUTER why are you doing this to me??!!! What did I ever do to you??"
3. Bargaining, "Look.....if you dont stop this crap......I'm gonna throw your @## out that window!"
4. Acceptance, "Okay.....that's it! my computer is screwed! I give up!

> This is usually followed by a ridiculous amount of money being spent on a new computer.
